Several weeks ago I was invited to attend the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival and feature the event for my blog and social media handles. As I prepared for my upcoming trip I was faced with a nearly overwhelming decision: WHERE SHOULD I STAY?!?! Atlanta is such a large city and while the festival was primarily taking place in Midtown, I wasn’t limited to staying there (especially in the modern era of Uber, where accessibility and convince comes at a $8-12 cost per ride). LOVE UBER! I knew I wanted to be in a location that offered walkability to lots of restaurants, bars, shops and great sidewalks for early morning runs. After hearing so many good things about the Buckhead vicinity, I decided to search for something in that area. And then I came across the lovely 5 star hotel: Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta. Such a perfect spot!

I am absolutely in love with this property! The hotel is beautifully designed, decorated and perfectly detailed. It is a wonderful mix of classic contemporary style and southern sophistication. Handsome leather furniture adorns the lounge which is accented with soft glowing candles and lovely geraniums on side tables. The M.O’s entry way, hallways and sitting areas are lined with lovely artwork that range from neat modern paintings to cool prints and bronze sculptures. The relaxing and beautiful English Garden outside is the perfect place to read the morning paper while enjoying a cup of coffee or having a glass of wine in the evening…(both of which I enjoyed)!
The amenities of this property were endless and I appreciated all of them! I used on more than one occasion the house car service that will take you anywhere within a 2 mile radius of the property. This was very handy one evening after a work meeting down the road (when I found myself without an umbrella) thankfully I was rescued from the torrential down pour in a comfortable and super chic Tesla.
The way to my heart is 100% with delicious food! So of course when I walked into the room and found a sweet spread of artisanal chocolates and macaroons waiting for me, it was immediate-LOVE! I enjoyed my stay in one of the Mandarin Premier Rooms which is 608 sq.ft of comfort and elegance. Appreciated room features included: CubieBlue charging alarm clock and speaker, 2 televisions, goose down comforter, the super comfy robe and slippers and the best smelling lotion and soaps that I’ve ever encountered at a hotel! The floor to ceiling windows offered breath taking views out over the city and I enjoyed soaking in both sunrises and sunsets from my room…it was spectacular.
The spa was a wonderful escape midway through my time in Atlanta to unwind, relax and recharge. Impressively taking up the entire 3rd floor of the hotel, the 13 treatment rooms, relaxation area, private terrace, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and infinity pool was a great feature to my stay and I LOVED my Oreintal Essence Massage so much that I felt 10 lbs lighter and was so relaxed that I nearly fell asleep on the table (actually, in full transparency..I did fall asleep on the table)! LOL it was blissful! I enjoyed a great workout each morning in the gym and greatly appreciated that there was yoga studio with private sessions available on request!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!
