Paul Roof Adjunct Professor of Sociology at College of Charleston aka The Beer Can Professor http://www.thebeercanprofessor.com Instagram @thebeercanprofessor

How did you get started?

I had been teaching sociology at Charleston Southern University for 6 years & was fired for being on Holy City Brewing Chucktown Follicle Brown label……my story went viral….I returned to teach at College of Charleston where I had previously taught before…….many accolades later (including 2014 Most Eccentric Charlestonian by Art Magazine readers), folks told me I had a brand but no product….so I turned the brand into a private label selling beard oil, pomade & moustache wax, all things I was into from founding the Holy City Beard & Moustache Society in 2007 which hosts the Southeastern Beard & Moustache Championships here in Charleston each years since 2010.
