This is the first of 3 segments in my mini series called: “3 Places To Make A Rezzy ASAP.” All of the places in this blog series are places that I enjoy greatly and highly recommend making a reservation for because they are always packed and are MIND BLOWINGLY FANTASTIC! Thats why they are always packed! If you can’t grab a reservation, then try to snag a seat at the bar…because even though you may have to wait…the food is worth it! I recommend making a reservation at these places and treating yourself to some delicious food-because this after all, is one of the reasons we live in Charleston or visit it. Life is too short to not enjoy the good things-sometimes that might mean scheduling far in advance, even if its not a special occasion, do it just for the simple pleasure of: enjoyment.
Its interesting how this restaurant has become my: everything place. When it first opened I gave it a try, and I had heard good things, so I did have certain expectations. However, I didn’t expect to fall head over heels for this place, but there it is…I am completely in LOVE. It is one of the only places in town that I really love going there, for every kind of occasion: date night, friend night, me night, take the kid out night, need a drink night (I’m done with dating nights) or just because I want good food night. Several months ago I decided to assemble a list of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat (since I was being asked several times a week from friends, clients and followers of the blog and instagram) what my favorite places were. I called it: “My Top 1o Places to Eat At, Right Now.” It was a hit and was followed by, “My Top 10 Cocktails In Charleston, Right Now.” Indaco was on both lists.
One of the most interesting things for me about the menu is this, its the kind of menu that you can enjoy ordering an entrée for yourself and being pleased with just that or ordering several items and sharing with a friend or group. Its hard to find a place that offers both and do it well. Indaco nails it! The menu ranges from unique appetizers to the-most-fantastic-pasta and those pizzas (WOW) the main courses usually offer options that change regularly featuring beef, chicken or fish. I have tried (probably) somewhere between 25-35 dishes there and THEY ARE PERFECT, EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! That is not an exaggeration, it just really is, that good. The service is great and the staff is knowledgeable and I always feel really comfortable there. My kind of place!
A few of my favorite things include (the dishes do change often, so some of these may not be current items): polpette, burrata, prosciutto di parma, sweet corn pizza, arugula and pancetta pizza, agnolotti pasta and black pepper tagliatelle pasta. Oh, and just about every single dessert on the menu!
