Candy’s Biscuits (start to finish-made in 30 min)

Biscuit Recipe

  • 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 TBSP white sugar
  • 1 TBSP baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup cold cut butter (unsalted)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven at 375
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixer
  3. Cut in the butter and add to dry mixture on medium setting
  4. Stir in milk and keep mixing until everything is crumbled and mixed fairly well
  5. Turn on lightly floured surface and roll out (about 1 inch deep-but you’ll have to experiment to see what you like) with rolling pin
  6. Cut out biscuits and place onto baking sheet (I usually do a baking sheet lined with parchment paper-but not required)
  7. Beat the egg in a small bowl wih a fork and brush the tops of the biscuits
  8. Bake about 18min and then check every minute after until done (biscuits should be slightly golden brown on top). My oven usually takes about 20 minutes but depends how thick the biscuits are cut
  9. Take off baking sheet when down and put on cooling rack
  10. Enjoy!!!!
