STOCK YOUR PANTRY
Facebook Live Series with: Charleston Wine + Food
I am SUPER excited to be hosting a 2 part series with Charleston Wine + Food Festival on their Facebook Live page called: ‘Stock Your Pantry.’ The series kicks off today (Monday, February 20th at 4pm) and will continue on Wednesday March 1st. I created this series with the intention: to help viewers and festival attendees to be prepared when they are in their kitchen with a list of key ingredients that every home cook should have on hand in their pantry, fridge and freezer. I get excited when I attend a food festival and watch a chef do a demo, or when I’m watching a cooking show or when I come across a great recipe in a cook book or magazine. BUT…I can easily lose interest and get frustrated if I have to first go to the grocery store and drop a large amount of $$$$ on the key recipe ingredients along with having to buy the basic pantry items (that I should probably already have at home…but I don’t know what those are)!!! I like cooking, but I don’t know what I’m doing most of the time and I need help…I’m constantly learning and trying new things…which is a lot of fun!
When I find myself in doubt…its best to go to the professionals…and who better to ask then: CHEFS!!! Charleston Wine + Food Festival http://charlestonwineandfood.com is only days away and I thought it was a great time to reach out and ask them to partner with me and bring food lovers near and far together for a fun behind the scenes, inside the kitchen series with some friends of ours who know a lot about food. We are kicking off this series this afternoon at Poogan’s Porch (a staple restaurant in Charleston for over 40 years). http://poogansporch.com Our second segment will take place in the Charleston Wine + Food Demo Kitchen & walk in refrigerated US Foods delivery truck on the opening day of the festival (3/1). We are excited to bring you this fun-filled, educational and informative series, sponsored by Stock Yards and US Foods (both of whom are sponsors of this years Charleston Wine + Food Festival).
I hope that you can tune in today and enjoy the segment!!!
